Typequick Licences available for schools.
There are a variety of flexible options available for schools to order our Typequick software. You can choose to train a few students, one class or the whole school.
Online Subscriptions
Typequick Online is hosted by Google so you will need access to a computer with an internet connection. Schools can purchase subscriptions in advance and simply allocate them to students as required.
Typequick Online gives you total control of your account as it has administrator access allowing teachers to allocate subscriptions to students as and when required and they can also view students progress.
The beauty of the online version is that your students can train 'anytime, anywhere' and the program can be accessed from any computer or laptop that has internet access at any time convenient to the student, including home, internet cafes and airports or train stations.
Unused subscriptions will stay in the administrators account and will not expire.
The subscription period begins when the student starts the course for the first time.
Pricing
Pricing for Typequick Online is on a cost per student basis. The subscription price is $10 +GST per student for 12 months or $11+GST per student for 24 months (ie. $5.50 per student per year with a 2 year signup). Volume discounts may apply.
Network Licence
Typequick's Network Licence is designed to offer multiple students access to the program and is run on the School’s fileserver. All computers that can access the school network will be able to access the Typequick course. This licence limits the number of concurrent users or the number of students using the course at any one time, to the number of licences purchased.
The number of concurrent user licences that needs to be purchased is based on the maximum class size that you are wanting to train at any one time. These licences can be reused to train the whole school.
For example, a 20 user licence allows your entire school to be trained – 20 students at a time – year after year.
This means that the total number of students that can be trained using Typequick is unlimited.
The Network version also has in-built reporting and assessment tools that enable an accurate snapshot of the students’ progress at any time. Powerful administration and reporting tools for teachers and administrators store and provide information on the students using the courseware, which lessons they have accessed, their level of speed and accuracy per lesson and date it was last completed.
Pricing
Pricing for the network licence is based on a fixed fee plus a cost per additional user. Pricing starts from $395 for a very small licence.
This can be a costs effective way to train the whole school as there are no annual licence fees after purchase.
Also, if you have previously had a Typequick Licence, low cost upgrades are available at a fraction of the cost of a new licence.

Find the Keys The first part of the Adventure where you will master the keys. You will be typing quickly and properly by the time you reach the Kingdom of Eaz. This course teaches correct finger positioning and associated keys of the alpha/numeric keyboard in ten structured lessons. This is the default course and is the recommended starting point. Royal Challenge This course will build your speed and accuracy. Wise Fella will give you challenges which will take Kewala into the wild to catch the ten finger speed master. This is only for you if you have found the Kingdom of Eaz or you can already type without looking at the keyboard. The lesson parts in Royal Challenge alternate between improving your speed and improving your accuracy. The speed challenges are designed to help you reach your touch typing/keyboarding goal and will not stop you if you make a mistake. The accuracy challenges are designed to improve your accuracy and make you press the correct key to continue with the challenge. Royal Challenge 2 The course is similar to the Royal Challenge except the text is more formal. Punctuation Course Teaches the most commonly used punctuation keys. Keypad Lessons Teaches the number pad for data entry in three easy lessons. The Planets A series of quite long lessons providing practice in speed and accuracy. Keyboard Lessons This course teaches the correct finger positioning and associated keys of the alphabetic/numeric keyboard in ten stuctured lessons. This is your starting point to touch typing!
Lessons 1 - 6 teach the letters of the alphabet in upper and lower case. Each one begins by introducing the new keys with finger placement exercises. Illustrations and simulations on your computer screen show you the correct finger usage for each key. Each self-paced lesson builds on the skills learned in the previous lessons and at each step you are encouraged and motivated to continue. The program alternates between speed practise and accuracy lessons to improve your skills in both areas.
Lessons 7 - 8 teach you how to use the number keys. These are the keys on the top row of the keyboard.
Lessons 9 - 10 focus on building your speed and accuracy.
Each lesson has three parts. In parts A and B you learn new keys and combine them with previously learned letters. Speed Challenge You can choose from six lessons designed to increase speed. The emphasis is on speed so don't worry about mistakes, just type as fast as you can. Advanced Challenge You can choose from seven lessons designed to improve accuracy. The emphasis is on accuracy so the correct letter must be typed to advance. Skill Evaluator is a quick, efficient and convenient method of assessing keyboard skills before and after training students. Skill Evaluator can also be used as an assessment tool to decide if keyboard training is required in your school. It allows you to test a student's typing skills for speed and accuracy and marks according to Australian standard AS2708-2001. This program is used in the Accredited Unit BSBITU307 - Develop Keyboarding Skills and Accuracy.

Keyboarding and the Australian Curriculum
While teaching keyboarding with ten fingers is not mandatory in the Australian Curriculum, The National Literacy and Numeracy Learning Progressions (guidelines for the Australian Curriculum), have included Keyboarding in the Writing section of the Literacy Progression as a learning requirement from Year 2.
